Junior B County Final Match Report
The Camogie Grounds in The Ragg was the venue for the final at 2 p.m. on Sunday the 30th October, 2011. In front of a large vocal crowd who verbalized their views at some dubious decisions from the referee. Despite a good performance, two first half goals for Newport would prove too much for Borrisoleigh to haul back.
Newport played with a strong wind for the first half scoring two goals and five points four of these were from frees. While Borrisoleigh scored six points with three of these coming from frees. The scorers were Deidre Corcoran 4 (three from frees), Moira Dooley and Noirin Stapleton. Newport were leading by five points at half time with it all to play for.
The second half saw some good camogie from both sides Borrisoleigh keeping in touch in the second half with points from Moira Dooley, Deirdre Corcoran (2) and Emma Treacy. Newport scored four points all from frees in the second half. A late goal by Noirin Treacy from Borrisoleigh would leave the final score at Newport 2-9 Borrisoleigh 1-10.
As the old saying goals win games was certainly the story of this game with Borrisoleigh equal to Newport all over the field apart from the two bad goals in the first half. All the players from Borrisoleigh played very well.

Save Energy, Save Money and Have Fun!
An Energy Neighbourhood is a group of households who are prepared to take on the challenge of reducing their energy consumption in a competition with other neighbourhoods from across Europe.
A neighbourhood doesn’t mean you all have to be neighbours. You can be a group of individuals from a club or society. The competition takes place between December 2011 and March 2012 and is repeated in December 2012.
What’s in it for me?
• Confused by your energy bills or unsure of how you can make savings? Then this project will help you to lower your energy bills for the rest of your life.
• Make new friends while you work together to reduce your energy bills and there is a big party at the end with all the other energy neighbourhoods.
• Prizes are awarded during the completion and the best group in Ireland can nominate 4 members to go on a free trip to the awards ceremony in Brussels.
The competition starts on 1st December and we are looking for teams to take part. So to learn more about the Energy Neighbourhoods project and register your interest please contact Paul in The
Tipperary Energy Agency on 052 7443090 or Energyneighbourhoods@tea.ie
