100th Birthday Celebrations!!!!

Left to right – Brede Clancy nee Hammond, Mary Hammond, Birthday Girl, Patrick Hammond celebrating Mary’s 100th birthday on 6th April 2025 in the Sandymount Hotel Dublin.
The above picture was sent in by Mary Bradley (nee Clancy) and granddaughter of Jack and Margaret Hammond (nee Bradshaw late of Coolderry) and Main Street, McDonagh Square. Her mother Brede Hammond is the 2nd of 5 children Mary, Brede, Kathleen, Agnes and Patrick. Mary celebrated her 100th birthday on the 1st April last. Brede is 99 in May and Patrick will be 92 next birthday. She reckons it must have been the water in Borrisoleigh and their happy times growing up there that gives them their longevity. Mary celebrated with her family, nieces, nephews and friends and neighbours and carers. It was a great occasion and the talk was of Borrisoleigh, granny in Chapel Street, Bradshaws and their cousin Jimmy Murphy. Borrisoleigh is always in their hearts.

————————————————————————————————-
Hi all,
I’ve been tasked with compiling and writing a history of GAA activity in the primary schools, e.g. North Finals/ County Finals, Primary Game, INTO mini sevens etc.
The more recent history is fairly well documented, however older records are sparse. I don’t want to leave anyone out!
If you are aware of any noteworthy GAA related facts from 1987 to present in relation to Fantane NS, St Theresa’s GNS, St Patrick BNS or Scoil Naomh Cualán please get in contact with me at scoilnaomhcualan@gmail.com. Or you can drop photos, newspaper cuttings etc. into the school and I’ll photocopy or scan what’s needed.
I’m looking for photos of teams, photos of Primary Game representatives, write ups from finals, coaches that were involved over the years, pupils who went on to represent Tipperary in the various codes, GAA quiz winners etc.
Many thanks for your help,
Michael Small
