Borrisoleigh Active Social Club

Borrisoleigh Active Social Club held their Mystery Trip last Friday.  Nobody knew where they were headed other than they were staying within the County of Tipperary. Everybody on the bus had to guess where we were going and Marcella from the Bush and Briar coffee shop kindly donated a prize to the winner which was Frances Kennedy.  

We left the GAA car park and turned left so people thought we were heading the Nenagh direction but no. We then headed up Pallas Street and people thought we were going to Upperchurch or Kilcommon but no. The bus driver confused them all turned at the school and headed back to the Square but then turned right and we were off. 
Our first stop was The Swiss Cottage Cahir. We then went to the Hotel for refreshments and then onto Cahir Castle for a tour. We visited the Apple Farm and they kindly gave us a hamper of goodies to raffle on the bus which was won by Nora Ryan.  Our last stop was The Horse and Jockey Hotel for dinner.  We were entertained there by Tipp FMs Johnny Looby. A very entertaining day was had by all. Thanks to our bus driver Matt for getting involved in the fun on the day. 
Our next outings are to the Country Music show in Killaloe on August 16th and a visit to Áras an Uachtaráin on August 18th.

Chair Yoga and Meditation

There is active retirement Chair Yoga and Meditation in the Community Centre, Borrisoleigh at 11am on Thursday mornings. They are run in 4 week blocks, the latest started on Thursday 14th of July.  To book ring Nora Shanahan on 087-1473457.

Rockshield Programme
