Borris-Ileigh Camogie Club Notes

Camogie Fever to Hit Borrisoleigh:
Camogie Fever is set to hit Borrisoleigh over the next two weeks as our Intermediate team prepare for their upcoming County Final.

After an absolutely titanic battle in the semi-final against Kilruane MacDonaghs on Saturday last in which it took extra extra time to decide the victor, we will now face Shannon Rovers in the final.

A dozen points from the stick of team captain Aedin Hogan along with 0-03 from Aoife Fitzgerald, (0-02) from Dani Ryan and a goal a piece from Emma Maher and Noirin Stapleton saw Borris claim the victory on a 2-17 to 4-08 scoreline.

Fundraising Duathlon:

Our club will hold a fundraising Duathlon on the October Bank Holiday weekend next where 7 of our Under 13 players will take on the task of running 2km follwed by a 10km cycle and finish with another 2km run.

The 7 participants are Amy Maher, Grace Groome, Anna Meehan, Tara Maher, Maria Groome, Michelle Meehan and Aoibhinn Keane.

We are currently seeking Gold (€100) and Silver (€50) event sponsors and we are getting a fantastic response from local and surrounding business people.
