Leaving Certificate results’ day in Borrisoleigh marked another milestone in the illustrious history of the co-ed College. The President of St Josephs College, Pádraig O’ Shea congratulated the teachers, students and parents on scoring an average of over four hundred points and peaking at 615. He cited this achievement as a goal to be attained by future classes and also congratulated the many past pupils who graduated this summer.

The Evening will commence with an U14 Hurling Match V Moyne / Templetuohy @ 5.30pm followed by Senior game @ 6.30pm v Moyne/ Templetuohy. The U12’s will have a mini blitz at half time.There will be a Bar BQ in the Town Park and your support on the evening would be greatly appreciated to support the work done by North Tipp Hospice.There will be a draw held later in Stapletons for spot prizes and music provided on the night by Johnny Maher and Friends.
Borris-Ileigh Camogie Club
Underage: Our under 16’s were out in the park on Monday the 19th for a championship match against Moneygall at 7 p.m. Unfortunately things didn’t run smoothly for them despite some fine performances from our girls with Moneygall being the winners on this occasion. Our minors were out in the Park on Tuesday the 20th at 7.30 p.m. against Portroe. Also things didn’t well for our minors with Portroe being the winners. Our under 12’s have a challenge against Drom in the park on Thursday the 22nd at 6.30 p.m..
Intermediate Team: Preparation continues for our intermediate panel with round 2 of the intermediate championship set for Saturday the 31st August at home against Templemore at 6.30 pm.
Administration: The club will be holding another clothing collection again on Saturday the 12th October please bear us in mind if doing a clear out. Camogie club merchandise now available Hoodies, tracksuits, t-shirts, jerseys and raincoats available. See Advertising Section of www.borrisoleigh.ie for pictures.
