Intermediate Team: The championship campaign got off to an excellent start, with a comfortable win over Annacarthy on Saturday the 10th August in Annacarthy 7 pm. They played with the win in the first half building up a lead of 2-8 to 0-1 at half time. They continued with fine performances from all areas on the pitch. The score at full time was Borris-Ileigh 3-13 to Annacarthy 1-4. Indeed Annacarthy only scored once from play. Well done to the senior hurling team who were playing at the same time and also won and remain in the championship. Last Saturday the Juvenile Club hosted the four North U12 Divisional Finals with Nenagh, Ballina, Burgess and Templederry winning their respective group finals. Thanks to all who helped out on the day, Phil Maher who provided amplification, Vera Hogan and Claire Ryan who did the catering, to all those involved in getting the pitch ready, in organising the parking, and keeping the score board updated. The North Juvenile Bórd has acknowledged all the assistance provided which ensured everything ran smoothly on the day. Well done to Seamus Tynan who refereed the group 1 and group 3 finals.
