The 2012 season is now up and running and all juvenile teams from u6 to u16 are back in training. Our first team into competitive action was the U16 footballers who played Kilruane in the first round of the U16b football championship and emerged victorious with a 4-4 to 2- 7 victory. Goals early in each half from Sean Ryan, Danny Ryan and Kieran Maher (2) and good defensive work later in both halves ensured a hard earned victory. We play Kildangan in the second round.
This year in order to ensure that all our players see as much playing time as possible we have entered two teams in the U12 Football competition. With the limited number of players available and two teams competing it is essential that all players make themselves available on each Friday evening. In the event that any player is unavailable for any reason the team Manager should be advised as early as possible to ensure that we are in a position to field both teams each week. Our Group two team gets into action on Friday next against Shannon Rovers in Ballinderry. The following friday both teams will be in action. Players will be notified of fixtures at training.
Team Management are currently collecting the annual registration fee of €10 per player or €20 per family. This fee must be paid before representing the club in any fixture.
The Juvenile Club will again be holding its annual table quiz in the Marian Hall on Good Friday night more details later.
This years Kelloggs Cúl Camp will take place from monday 2nd of July to Friday 7 July in Borrisoleigh Town Park. Full details including online registration will be available shortly.
The Junior team have their first challenge game of the season this Saturday against Kildangan in Puckane at 6:30 pm, could all team members please be present in the Park for 5.30 pm. Best of luck to both teams
Our under 14, 16 and 18 have training at 12 Saturday in the Park. Indoor training for under 6, 8 and 10 continues on Tuesday evening at 6.30 pm in sports hall in St Joseph’s College. Please bring your helmet, hurley, shin guards and €2.
