Sponsored 10km Fun Run
A great day was had by all who participated in the fun run on Easter Saturday. A great crowd turned out in the square at 1p.m. in aid of Street Children in Mombasa, Kenya. Margaret, Kerrie and Aileen would like to thank everyone for their help and support on the day, including those who drove and gave out the much appreciated water. Shane and Padraig came home first in under 45 mins, followed by the other runners and walkers, not forgetting the lone cyclist and his passengers.
The crowd met up agian in Stapleton’s Bar later that night and enjoyed the tasty treats at the barbeque. Thanks to all those who sponsored the girls and donated spot prizes and food. The people of Borrisoleigh have shown their huge generosity yet again. Thanks to Tim and Dec a.k.a. Cheating Hearts and D.J.s Noel and Lorcan for providing great entertainmnet on the night.
