Community Bike Ride
Starting on November 25th we will have a Saturday cycle at 10 o clock to go along with our Sunday cycles and hopefully this will help new members to join us for cycle and refreshments. Log into communitybikerides.ie and register for the cycle of your choice, or phone Christy 085 1788085 thanks.

Tickets for the All Ireland Scór Sinsir Final in which Katie Shanahan is singing are now available to buy online. It is on at 3pm on Sat Nov 18th in The INEC in Killarney. Tickets are available to purchase on Ticketmaster. https://am.
St. Cualáns Social Club
The Annual Christmas party for St. Cualáns Social Club takes place on Sun Dec 3rd at 2pm in the Community Centre Borrisoleigh. The day will start with Mass and followed by Christmas Dinner and an evening of music, song & dancing. A great day is assured. Cost of the day is €20 but names need to be booked in by Nov 24th to either Eileen Slattery 087 9849848 or Lucia Ryan 086 3961211.
Borrisoleigh Active Social Club
Borrisoleigh Active Social Club are going on their Christmas shopping trip to the Ennis Markets on Sat Dec 9th. There will be a meal in The West County Hotel on the way home. Bus & meal is €40 which can be paid to either Eileen or Lucia before Nov 24th.

Templemore Folkgroup Christmas Concert:
The Templemore Parish Folkgroup are hosting a charity Christmas concert on Dec 10th @ 7.30pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Special guests Derek Ryan (Baritone) & Ryan Morgan (Tenor). Charities this year are Irish Kidney Association, Milford Hospice & North Tipp Hospice. Tickets: €25. Tickets are now on sale in Templemore Parish office or from any member of the Folkgroup.

Presentation morning in Community Centre
We had a presentation morning in the Community Centre on Saturday 11th of November for Frances Kennedy and Gerry Carroll as an appreciation of their involvement with the Borrisoleigh church and the Community Centre.

Greyhound History
Thurles Greyhound stadium hosted their 75th anniversary celebration on Saturday 27th October 2023. This got me thinking about all the wonderful greyhound people and great greyhounds that came from Borrisoleigh over the years. There are so many funny stories and famous victories and lifelong friendships that were built through owning greyhounds and I would love to hear from anyone who has a photo, a story or a memory to share.
I’m interested in all stories and old photos connected to greyhounds not just the champions.
Hopefully I’ll find out some interesting information put something together to be published on this Borrisoleigh website in a few weeks time.
